Let's try this again!

I know, I know, 2 years (almost) since my second post ever. I am a horrible blogger, but I am willing to put forth the effort to try again and maintain this thing. Well what have I been up to lately?

I died my hair blond, (yes blond) and I love it, and I get a lot of compliments on it, but I think I may need to cut it again, because its getting HOT here in the Lodi/Sac area. And by hot I mean 83 degrees fahrenheit. Which I know isn't really hot, per say. But Heat and I are not best friends.

Also Shay and I went to the Lady Gaga concerton the 23rd at Arco, and it was FANTASTIC! I can honestly say I have never cried at a concert before, but I cried at Gaga, twice..... She (Gaga) is a very down to earth person for all her crazy outfits, and highjinks. She urges all her fans to be themselves, be proud of who you are, and be proud of what you do and create. Well those are all things that I have to do some serious work on. I have never been the most self-assured person, and I have always had some body image issues. Also I know that I need to give myself more credit for the things that I knit, crochet, and sew and all that, and stop belittling the awesome things I make.

Shay has been a great addition to the household, and I enjoy seeing her every day. She has a way of lifting my spirits when I feel crappy, and even though we still fight about stuff like sisters do, having her here is a blessing because I never really got to know the grown up her, just the bratty baby, kid and teen she was. She has grown as a person tremendously, and I am super proud of the adult that she is. (Even though she is still a brat sometimes.)

I got a kudos award at work yesterday, which is basically just a certificate, and a mylar balloon taped to my desk, but it felt really good to get the recognition that i deserve for busting my tush on a daily basis. I had to laugh though, for at the end of little paragraph about my awesomeness (I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am) the last sentence said "Caresse is a real Treasurer" I didn't know that I got to handle money, where's the cash box? Well, I haven't been getting nearly as much done as I wanted to. And I keep forgetting to take pictures. Darn it.

Anyway, yesterday at work we completed our monthly team board. Another girl on my team and I work on it together.

Here is proof that I have too much time at work.

Construction paper leaves, tree, squirrel, turkey. Real leaves collected from the parking lot along with acorns. It really only took us a day to get the idea and put it into motion. So what do you think?

I've jumped the shark

Well, I have jumped onto the bandwagon and started a blog. I know, took me long enough. But since it also took me forever just to join Facebook, well what can I say. I hope to keep this blog focused more towards my creations. My purses and jewelry. But I will include also the baby blankets I constantly seem to be making, as well as projects for my classes. So look for more to come, and if I can get my camera to cooperate I will include pictures too!
